The proprietors are very friendly and hospitable. The home has an interesting history. The rooms are very clean and luxurious. The grounds are beautiful. The breakfast is a sit down type, not a buffet, and it was fantastic !
My wife has trouble climbing stairs, there is no elevator, and all rooms are on the second floor. However, she liked the rest of the experience so much that she said she would stay at Brockamour Manor again.

The heritage of the house and grounds goes back to 1809 and includes a love story/romance of a military man killed in the War of 1812 and the daughter of a prominent man. The story is shared with each guest. The building and grounds are impeccably maintained and it is evident that the staff is proud of their facility. They treat guests in a respectful and dignified manner. And the 4 course breakfast is elegant and worth the stay in itself. A wonderful and memorable experience!
The location was a 10-12 minute walk from the main shopping area. Not a bad walk in good weather however in the rain, and with a lot of gifts and packages, it was a little long. It was still worth staying there. Nothing in the house was worth noting on the negative side.

The room was charming, and very clean. The whole house was delightful, and had an interesting history. It was located in a beautiful garden setting, overlooked by front and rear verandas. The host and hostess were very frindly. Finally, the four course (yes 4) breakfast was incredibly scrumptious.
The only downside was the distance to the town centre - however it was walkable.
